Misses' / Misses' Petite Dress – One shoulder

One-shoulder dress, form-fitting with a full lining and partial reinforcement. The model features princess seams, an invisible side zipper, waist-beaded trim, and a drape detail that flows into a small train. The dress is fitted with lamé tape boning and narrow hems for a refined finish.

Suitable fabrics

Not suitable for striking diagonal patterns. Choose fabrics such as crepe, velvet, or crepe-back satin . For contrast (drapes): chiffon or voile. Lining: bremsilk or cupro lining. Use medium weight fusible interfacing where indicated.

Please note: account for nap, one-way print, or color gradient; extra fabric may be needed for pattern matching or shrinkage.

• 1x invisible zipper (41 cm / 16")
• Boning: approx. 2.7 m (3 yards) total
• Beaded trim: approx. 1 m (1 yard) by 2.5 cm (1") wide
• Seam binding: 1 pack 1/2" (1.3 cm) wide
• Satin ribbon: 1 m of 1/4" (0.6 cm)

• Chest circumference at finished garment (cm): size 6 = 79 cm, 8 = 82 cm, 10 = 84 cm, 12 = 88.3 cm, 14 = 93.3 cm, 16 = 98.3 cm, 18 = 103.3 cm, 20 = 108.3 cm, 22 = 113.3 cm.
• Back length from base of neck (cm): size 6 = 157 cm, size 22 = 163 cm (intermediate sizes according to chart).

Practical tips

• First make a toile in inexpensive material to check the fit and length (especially for the one-shoulder fit).
• Carefully finish bale and lining details; use sturdy but flexible boning and test the position before final sewing.
• For thin or smooth fabrics: use sharp microtex needles and fine sewing thread for invisible seams.
