There are two very different and highly sought-after breeds in the textile world: the Huacaya alpaca, characterized by a soft and curly fleece that grows perpendicular to the body, and the Suri alpaca, characterized by a silky and twisted fleece, known for its unmistakable luster. In addition to well-known properties such as extreme softness and luster, alpaca wool is elastic, hypoallergenic, and non-flammable. Furthermore, it possesses exceptional thermal properties that make it resistant to both cold and heat.
